About

Semper Fi House was initially conceived by two Marine Corps Officers, Matt Codner and Michael Hallinan. They realized our enlisted Marines were missing out on educational opportunities and were confused by the GI Bill incentives that were being offered to them. They recruited another Marine Corps Officer, Prescott Paulin, to help with establishing the organization and bringing clarity to their vision. Prescott enrolled the help of his professor from Babson College, Len Green, who is a well-connected entrepreneur.

Professor Green believed in the concept and brought in a lawyer to solidify the 501(c)3 status back in 2007. After gaining approval from the IRS, Semper Fi House, Inc. was established and filed for a non-profit solicitation license from the District of Columbia. This license was finally granted in 2011 after an initial donation to the organization from James Malinchak, who was recently featured on ABC’s Secret Millionaire. James’ internet marketing guru, Maj. Ed T. Rush, USMC (Ret.), is a former Marine Corps fighter pilot instructor, and it was Ed who inspired the connection with James.

Now that we’re legit, and we’re funded enough to be dangerous, we’re seeking money for our first veterans fraternity home. We’re planning to expand onto college campuses and start serving our war heroes– the men and women who deserve a GREAT home while they go to school. We’re providing a place where veterans can fit in, acknowledge the ties of their brotherhood, and continue to serve one another on a college campus. We’re getting ready to combat PTSD by connecting those who need help to those who can offer a helping hand.

Semper Fi House is looking for volunteers and donations of any kind. Your contributions are always appreciated, and tax-deductible when of monetary value. Please be in touch to see how you can fit in.
